I classify this cafe 5 points for everything BUT pricing. I visited this cafe with my partner for brunch on Easter Monday. As it was public holiday, the place was very busy, however we still received outstanding service and did not have to wait long for meal (cca 15 mins) considering a number of guests.

When we approached door of cafe, a waitress welcomed us with smile and let us to sit wherever we wanted. Then we were sent to counter to order and make a payment. Looking through menu displayed above counter as well as on sheet of paper we were given, pricing was higher than what we were used to in Brisbane (considering also fancy area of James Street). Yet, we both were so hungry that did not want to wonder around for better pricing.

We took up a table on patio where live music was playing. The music absolutely suited the place and atmosphere.

In say 15 minutes a waitress brought us our portions of Big Breakfasts, asked if we wanted cracked pepper or anything else. My partner was going to get a bottle of water that the waitress offered to bring. Dishes we had were very well prepared and tasty. Before we finished, we had been asked if all were good etc. I noticed a waitress was walking circles and was observing whatever customers needed or did not. Staff wore smiles on their faces which were not fake but very genuine.

When we finished our food and drinks, we still needed to stay seated to plan our visits of wineries. Although we sat with no other purchased refreshment and cafe was still very busy for lunches, nobody pushed us out of there.

I personally must say I was happy to pay the twenty bucks for great tasting food and absolutely outstanding customer service. I cannot remember any catering staff smiling so nicely and genuinely. I hope the staff there get higher rewards than usual.

Arguably the most popular spot in the HVG Village. Offering breakfast and lunch. Dine indoors or out but I'd suggest out on the verandah.

My partner and I had lunch here after playing putt putt and Aqua golf. It had gone 2 pm and since it was a Tuesday it wasn't as busy as I've seen it in the past. Weekends can be a rush.

I ordered a chocolate thickshake which came in one of those massive metal mixing cups. I love spooning out the ice cream before sipping my way to a full milk belly. It was delicious! My roast chicken wrap was pricey for the size. $18 with no accompanying chips but it too was tasty and I enjoyed the combination of the mellow tasty cheese with the red onion and roasted capsicum.

An ice cream shop adjoins the building; I think they are both linked under Oscars.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting both the aqua golf and putt putt while wandering the gardens.

A fairly nice restaurant with lots of outdoor seating, and very casual. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Looking at the menu there was a few thing to choose from. I chose something a bit more traditional and got the beef (added bacon) burger.

The chips were quite nice and the burger... okay. It wasn't anything amazing. A little boring is all I could gather. It needed something like ranch or tangy aioli to give it a bit more zing.

Overall a decent place to stop for food and for a reasonable price. But nothing totally amazing.

Nice casual place for coffee while my wife browsed all the shops in this complex.  The Hunter Valley is not a mecca for shopping, and this is one of the few groups of shops around.  I had an excellent cappuccino and read the paper.  Not much of a dining experience, but it's a nice place.

They have everything you'd hope for. Service with a smile, great portioned food, decent prices, indoor and outdoor setting, COFFEE! They actually use a local coffee blend that's smooth. My friend and I come here a lot and have never had anything to complain about. The food is great, fresh and full of flavour, they have a good variety and overall a great cafe!
